Today: The box is at the back of the Church into which you can put petitions for prayer to be taken to Lourdes. These should be in a sealed envelope and with no money inside since they are often burned unopened. These will be taken to the Grotto and Mass will be offered for all the intentions.
Sunday: The tea/coffee morning takes place in the Hall after Mass. This week the Vocations Group is in charge. All welcome.
The half yearly draw for the 200 Club takes places during the Coffee morning with prizes of £200 and £50 going to two lucky people in time for the holidays.
Tuesday: The fourth in a series of five talks, organised at the Lauriston Jesuit Centre, to mark the 50th anniversary of the second Vatican Council. The fourth one is on ‘Vatican II, the Church and the Media’ and begins at 7.30 p.m. Fuller details are on the poster in the porch.
Thursday: The tea/coffee coffee morning takes place in the house after 9.00 a.m. Mass. All welcome. Continued thanks go to those who hand in their loose bronze coins and even small silver ones. These can continue to be handed in to the Card Stall at the weekend and the proceeds go to the Parish Project. Along with the donations at the Coffee Morning this enabled a cheque for £250 to be added to the Parish Project total.
Thursday: The Keep Fit class meets in the Hall at 7.00 p.m. All are welcome to come along and take part.
Diary Dates:
28th June: Meeting of Parish Pastoral Council at 7.00 p.m. Please make every effort to attend this final meeting before the holidays to see the work that has been done so far following on the building up of the census data base and also to discuss the next stage.
2nd – 6th July: ‘New Dawn in Scotland Family Conference’ will be held at St. Andrews and is timed to coincide with Scottish school holiday. 1st July: The Mass in honour of Our Lady of Lourdes takes place in the Church at 3.00 p.m.in advance of the Archdiocesan Pilgrimage. All welcome whether you are travelling to Lourdes or not.
St. Andrew’s Children’s Society have provided Adoption & Foster Care for 90 years. We are looking for Catholic families who could offer short or long term foster care or adoptive homes to a wide range of children in our Archdiocese and beyond who cannot live with their birth families.
