Diary Dates:

17th April: Meeting of the Parish Pastoral Council at 7.00 p.m. in the house.

28th April: Annual Christmas Dinner for Senior Citizens of the parish in the hall at 2.00 p.m.  Please collect your invitation from the sacristy before or after Mass and return it as quickly as possible for catering purposes.  Please also sign on the relevant sheet.  The invitations will be there this weekend and next weekend and the replies are needed by Monday, 23rd April so please don’t leave it until the last minute. If you attend Mass here on a regular basis and treat this as your Parish you will be welcome.

Gift Aid: The new packs of envelopes for those who gift aid their offertory collection are available in the sacristy after Mass.  They come into effect on 8th April i.e. today  after which none of the old ones should be used.  Please collect your new set today.

Do you pay income tax ?  Would you consider gift aiding your contribution if you do not already do so ?  Last year the parish benefitted by £9972.67 in the tax refunded from Her Majesty’s Revenue and Customs.  You don’t need to give any more than you give already.  Why not think about it and then get the necessary form before the new tax year begins.

Envelopes are now available for those who wish to use them but do not Gift Aid their contributions.  Please come to the sacristy after Mass if you want to collect a set.

The Stall has the new edition of ‘Living Faith’ covering April – June, priced £1.40 available for sale

Many thanks indeed to all who have made such great efforts to attend the Lenten, Holy Week and Easter Masses and services.  Your efforts are much appreciated and it has been edifying to see so many.

My grateful thanks go to all who have been involved in any way in helping us along the Lenten Journey and now to the celebration of the Resurrection.  Many people have given of their time and talents to help in all sorts of ways.  Their help is very much appreciated since, without their efforts, our liturgies would be the poorer.  The Servers, Musicians, Readers, Eucharistic Ministers and Passkeepers have all played their part.  Behind the scenes are the church cleaners, the flower arrangers, typist, sacristans, and those who look after us in the Hall after the Easter Masses.  All this work is done in addition to home and family responsibilities.  A very big thank you is due to every one of them for their efforts. Thank you also for the Easter cards and gifts.  They are much appreciated.

Eucharistic Ministers please be patient about the lack of a new rota.  There are several gaps in the rota which I am trying to fill before issuing a new rota.

With every best wish and  Easter blessing

to you, your families and those

who are dear to you

Monsignor Tony.
