Please remember the following parishioners, relatives and friends in your prayers:

Sick: John McPartland, Annie O’Donnell, Veronica Allan, Margaret Christie, Irene Callan, Assunta Santangeli., Monsignor Regan, Monsignor Rae, Father Tony MacDonald.

Today:  Summer Clothes Bank Uplift. We are looking for any unwanted clothing/paired shoes, belts, bags and soft toys for our Summer Clothes Bank collection in June. All donations will be weighed and we will receive 50p per kilo (approx. £5 per black bag). The pickup has been delayed so you can still bring bags after today’s date. All proceeds will go to the Parish Project.

Today: Congratulations to those who completed the Sponsored Walk in aid of Parish Project Fund recently and those who walked even further than they needed to ! Any monies due should be returned as quickly as possible please. Final call for money please. So far £850.00 has been handed in.

Sunday: The Final full scale Coffee Morning until after the summer holidays takes place after 10.00 a.m. Mass with the Ladies Group in charge.

A small group of volunteers have kindly agreed to run a reduced service coffee morning to continue to provide an opportunity for parishioners to meet after Mass. This will start next Sunday.

Monday is the Solemnity of St. Peter & St. Paul. Since it falls on a Monday it is not a Holy Day of Obligation. This reflect the practice in Scotland whereby if a Feast, which would normally be a Holy Day of Obligation falls on a Saturday or a Monday, the feast continues to be celebrated but without the obligation to attend Mass.

Next Saturday/Sunday the final retiral collection before the holidays will be taken up. It is for Peter’s Pence, the fund which the Pope uses to respond to various requests he receives for financial assistance.

Diary Dates:

10th July: The Archdiocesan Pilgrimage to Lourdes leaves.  If you wish to have petitions taken there will be a box at the back of the Church into which you can put them.  Please put them in a sealed envelope.  Please do not put any money in the envelopes.

Situation Vacant: St. Joseph’s House in Gilmore Place have a vacancy for a part time R.G.N. nurse for night duties – three nights a week – 8.30 p.m. – 7.30 a.m. They are also looking for a volunteer for Reception Duties on alternate Saturdays from 2.00 p.m. – 9.00 p.m.

In the first instance please contact  Mary Lewis   TEL No  0131 229 5672 or E-mail  Filecentre@aol.com for further details.

Holidays:  If you are going away, I hope you have a safe journey and come back refreshed and relaxed.  If you are staying at home, I hope you find some time to relax and take a break from your usual routine.

If you are a visitor, you are welcome to our Parish, our city and our country.

With every best wish and blessing

To you, your families

And all those who are dear to you.

Monsignor Tony.
