Today: The new Eucharistic Ministers’ Rota is ready for collection in the Sacristy after Mass. It comes into effect this weekend, so don’t delay.

Sunday: There will be no Coffee Mornings during July.

Parish Project: After the success of the last Parish Project when Calum’s Cabin and the Hospice of Hope in Myanmar shared the proceeds it is hoped to launch the next Parish Project after the holiday break. If you have any suggestions as to who could be beneficiaries please jot them down and hand them in after mass over the next few weeks. Up until now, there has been a home based charity and an overseas one. Once we have enough suggestions a short leet will be drawn up and a decision taken as to who will be the beneficiaries for the next two years.

The recent barbeque raised £460.00 which is the first amount for the new Parish Project once it is chosen.

As the holiday season is now upon us will all Readers, Eucharistic Ministers and Altar Servers please remember to ensure they have arranged cover if they are going to be away. This is especially important when a visiting priest is here to celebrate Mass.  Please use the ‘post its’ in the sacristy to let me know about any swaps you make. Please don’t write on the rotas themselves.

Holidays:  If you are going away, I hope you have a safe journey and come back refreshed and relaxed.  If you are staying at home, I hope you find some time to relax and take a break from your usual routine.

If you are a visitor, you are welcome to our Parish, our city and our country.

Sam has a question which can never be answered ‘Yes.’ ‘So do I’, said his friend Jim. How about ‘Are you a gorilla ?’ I could never answer that with a ‘Yes.’’ Oh yes you could,’ said Sam,’but you would have to lie. The question I am thinking of could never be answered with a yes even by the most brazen liar.’ What was the question Sam had in mind ?

Answer – ‘Are you dead ?’

Alex and Georgina were born at the same hour of the same day of the same year to the same mother in the same hospital. They have the same father and yet they are not twins. Why ?

With every best wish and Blessing

To you, your families

and those who are dear to you

Monsignor Tony
