Today: The new readers’ rota is ready for collection from the sacristy. Please collect your copy today since it comes into effect next weekend and you may be on duty. Many thanks for agreeing to carry out this ministry for the Parish.
Sunday: The Children’s Liturgy resumes today. If you have children of Primary School age then this is for them. It is not a babysitting service or crèche but is a Liturgy with and for the children which mirrors the Liturgy taking place in the Church but is at the children’s level and in language they will understand. It is an opportunity for them to pray together as the adults do. Please encourage your children to come along and take part. It is not suitable for preschool children.
Sunday: The Coffee Morning takes place after Mass with the Noisy Nutters running it this week. All welcome round to the Hall for bacon rolls etc
Sunday: The Mass of Thanksgiving for the recent Archdiocesan Pilgrimage to Lourdes takes place in St. Cuthbert’s at 3.00 p.m. followed by refreshments in the Hall afterwards. All welcome
Monday: The next outing for the Parish young adults’ group is to the end of festival fireworks on Monday 29 August. If you’d like to attend, please contact tdrew0106@gmail.com.

Diary Dates:
4th September: The Annual National Pilgrimage to Carfin, this year, in honour of St. Margaret takes place with Concelebrated Mass at 3.00 p.m. Prior to that bishops and priests will be available to hear confessions from 12 noon onwards. Archbishop Tartaglia is the main celebrant and Archbishop Cushley is the preacher.
22nd September: The cluster core group made up representatives from St. John Ogilvie’s, St. Joseph’s, Our Lady’s and St. Cuthbert’s met last week to plan further the open meetings for parishioners from the cluster to reflect on the Archbishop’s plans for the future. There will be a series of three meetings based on the booklet (Cluster Parishes Together) which was distributed earlier in the year. The first of these is in St. Cuthbert’s. It will begin with teas and coffees at 7.00 p.m. and the meeting proper starting at 7.30 p.m. prompt, finishing at 9.00 p.m. More details will be available in due course but in the mean time please read up the booklet relating to meeting 1 so that you can come prepared to share in the meeting. In particular please note the focus of this first meeting viz We are asked to focus on three main areas where clusters currently work together; We are invited to share what we think needs to continue to be done as a single parish.
30th September: The Beginning Experience are holding a residential weekend for those who find themselves alone again through widowhood, separation or divorce.
