As always, it is hoped to take a group of young people to Lourdes to help and work with the sick pilgrims from around our Archdiocese.  This year the all inclusive cost for the Youth section is £689.  For more information, email youthforlourdes@hotmail.co.uk or give Kris a call on 07747867003.

The Holy See has asked for a second consultation on marriage and the family before the forthcoming synod ‘The Vocation and Mission of the Family in the Church and Contemporary World’ (4 – 25 October 2015).  The questionnaire for the synod is available on the front page of the Archdiocesan website. Please publicise the consultation as widely as possible in your parishes. Each respondent to the consultation can save, complete and return the form by email attachment. Respondents can be individuals or parishes or groups. If respondents do not have access to email or the internet, they should call the Gillis Centre on 0131 623 8912 and a hard copy will be arranged. Mrs Sally McElroy sally.mcelroy@staned.org.uk is also available for help and advice on the consultation. We have only recently received the questionnaire and the Holy See has asked for the collated results from all of the Dioceses in the country to be returned to Rome by 15 April. Therefore, the closing date for submissions from our own Archdiocese is Friday 13 March 2015.

Very many thanks indeed to all who came along to the Race Night last weekend.  The sale of horses, the betting, the sale of hamburgers and some very generous donations and sponsorship raised the incredible amount of £984.75 for the Parish Project. Given the small number who actually came along on the night this is an amazing sum of money.

 With every best wish and

blessing to you, your families and

all those who are dear to you

Monsignor Tony
