You are welcome to the hall after mass for refreshments to celebrate Easter with your fellow parishioners before you head off to your family celebrations.

Today: The new packs of envelopes for those who gift aid their offertory collection will be available in the sacristy after Mass.  They come into effect on 7th April i.e. next Sunday after which none of the old ones should be used.  Please collect your new set from the sacristy.

Do you pay income tax ?  Would you consider gift aiding your contribution if you do not already do so ?  Last year the parish benefitted by £8239.04 in the tax refunded from Her Majesty’s Revenue and Customs.  You don’t need to give any more than you give already.  Why not think about it and then get the necessary form before the new tax year begins.

Envelopes will also be available for those who wish to use them but do not Gift Aid their contributions.  Please come to the sacristy after Mass if you want to collect a set.

Today: All Altar Servers please come to the sacristy after Mass.

Diary Dates:

9th April: Meeting of Parish Pastoral Council at 7.00 p.m. in the house.

11th April: Meeting of parents of  P4 children preparing for Confirmation and First Communion.

Many thanks indeed to all who have made such great efforts to attend the Lenten, Holy Week and Easter Masses and services.  Your efforts are much appreciated especially in spite of  the inclement weather.

My grateful thanks go to all who have been involved in any way in helping us along the Lenten Journey and now to the celebration of the Resurrection.  Many people have given of their time and talents to help in all sorts of ways.  Their help is very much appreciated since, without their efforts, our liturgies would be the poorer.  The Servers, Musicians, Readers, Eucharistic Ministers and Passkeepers have all played their part.  Behind the scenes are the church cleaners, the flower arrangers, typist, sacristans, and those who look after us in the Hall after the Easter Masses.  All this work is done in addition to home and family responsibilities.  A very big thank you is due to every one of them for their efforts. Thank you also for the Easter cards and gifts.  They are much appreciated.

Hope you remembered to change your clocks this weekend.  They need to go forward one hour to mark the start of British Summer time.  Honest it is now officially summer !

With every best wish and Easter blessing to you,

your families

and all those who are dear to you.

Monsignor Tony.
