Sunday: The Coffee Morning takes place after Mass with the Fare Trade group running it this week. All welcome round to the Hall for bacon rolls etc coffees, some home baking. All welcome between 9.30 a.m. and 11.00 a.m.

Sunday: Archbishop Cushley will be celebrating a Mass of Thanksgiving at 11.30 a.m. in Our Lady’s in Currie to mark the 50th Anniversary of the opening of the church. You are welcome to go along

Sunday: The annual pilgrimage to pray for the beatification of Venerable Margaret Sinclair will take place at St Patrick’s in Edinburgh’s Cowgate from 2.00 p.m. – 6.00 p.m. The day will begin at 2.00 p.m.  with a Holy Hour followed by a performance of the play, The Margaret Sinclair Story, recently performed at the Edinburgh Festival. Mass is at 4.30 p.m. with Archbishop Cushley as principal celebrant. Please bring your own refreshments. All are very welcome.

Monday: Meeting of all parents wishing to present their child for First Reconciliation in the course of the current school year. The children should be in P3 or above. It is at 6.30 p.m. in the Church Hall and it is important that parents be present. The children do not need to be there. If you have not obtained and completed the appropriate form either from the school or the sacristy please do so before this meeting which will be the last opportunity to register your child for the current session.

It is at 7.30 p.m. in the Church Hall and it is important that parents be present. The children do not need to be there. If you have not obtained and completed the appropriate form either from the school or the sacristy please do so before this meeting which will be the last opportunity to register your child for the current session.

Wednesday: The St. Augustine’s Open Meeting for parents of children in current P6 or P7 classes will take place from 4.00 p.m. – 6.00 p.m.After an introduction by the Head Teacher, parents will be able to see round the school, visit various departments and speak to members of staff and senior pupils.

 

Diary Dates:

2nd November:  There will be a meeting at 7.00 p.m. in the Church house to plan and prepare the Advent and Christmas Liturgies.  If you would like to help in delivering and planning these please come along.

3rd November: The second of the cluster meetings will take place in St. Joseph’s. More details will be given in due course but in the meantime please put the date in your diary.

 

The Card Stall has the October edition of ‘Day by Day’ ready for sale or collection. There are also a few copies of the September edition of ‘Living Faith’ available.
