Today we will finish the collection of gifts for the homeless of Edinburgh itself. These will be distributed through the St. Catharine’s Homeless Project. Sleeping bags would be especially welcomed. If you can help transport the gifts to the Convent after Mass, that would be appreciated.

Sunday: The last coffee morning of the takes place in the Hall after Mass. The Ladies group will be in charge today.  Why not go round to the Hall after Mass and sample the goods on offer.

Today: The Christmas edition of the St. Augustine’s High School newsletter is available as you leave Mass. Please take a copy to read of the achievements of staff and pupils.

Today: The 2019 Archdiocesan Directory is on sale after Mass, priced £2.50p. Please put any payments into the basket beside the directories.

Service of Readings and Carols at 8.30 p.m. in Our Lady’s in Currie.

This will lead straight into the First Mass of Christmas. It is important to be in the Church for the Carols and the readings since they form an integral part of tonight’s Liturgy.

This will lead straight into the First Mass of Christmas at Midnight. It is important to be in the Church for the Carols and the readings since they form an integral part of tonight’s Liturgy. Refreshments will be served in the Hall after Mass if you are able to stay.

 

Tuesday:                      The Nativity of Our Lord.

Mass at 9.30 a.m. in St. Cuthbert’s.

Refreshments will be served in the Hall after Mass if you are able to stay.

Please note that the time of Mass is changed from previous years.

This is to allow a less rushed period between Mass in St. Cuthbert’s and Mass in Our Lady’s due to Father Tom being away.

 

Mass at 11.30 a.m. in Our Lady’s in Currie

 

Friday: To mark the Feast of the Holy Innocents, Archbishop Cushley will celebrate Mass in St. Margaret’s Chapel in the Gillis Centre.a 12 noon. All are welcome.

 

The collection basket at the crib is for the Archbishop’s Care Fund, a fund which is used to respond to various requests he receives for financial assistance.

 

The final total  for the Parish Project Fund is £10,013.11. This includes the proceeds of the Bonus Ball and also a coffee morning in Our Lady’s. It is a tremendous achievement to reach this figure so thank you to all who have contributed in any way.  Details of the handing over of the cheques will be available in due course.
